VAR should be in the refs ear and telling him to book PEPE for cheating

How does Pepe not get a yellow for that dive?

James THOMPKINS sent on to close it out

Have only seen the last half hour but Palace have looked superior.
Arsenal look lightweight & lacking leadership

That Connor Gallagher is lively, like a modern day decent John Moncur.

Arsenal beat Spurs and Arteta is the messiah.

It was a false dawn.

He is in deep shit.

1-0 to Arsenal after 15 mins, but fuck me the state of Aubameyangs hair? What the fuck is that all about!

I think we can afford to rest a few next Sunday, not going to be much of a game. Rice and Soucek will destroy Skipp and Hjoberg.

Re: Saturday football
Assuming Newcastle sack Bruce tonight and bring in Favre (?) is he or any manager going to be good enough to get them to January still in touch with the rest of the bottom half?

I reckon they'll be 10 to 12 points behind 17th by January... Then they'll realise that, no matter how much money they're offering, the players they need will not be interested.

Players Iike Lingaard (one name that's been thrown around) are not going to go to a bottom three club that is adrift...

Haz

Maybe...

I think Newcastle have (marginally) better players - Wilson, Saint Maximum, Willock and Lascelles - but their confidence after all the takeover / we're about to win everything must be rock bottom.
If Norwich's less-talented players are up for it, they could win. They looked better in yesterday's highlights....

Re: Saturday football
Do these fair play/financial rules cover the Championship?

If/when they drop, can they just not simply buy a squad that plays (burns out) up until the January window, then buy another one for the second half of the season?

If that's not allowed, then the first half-season squad could all accidentally and deliberately get chopped up into little bits at Xmas and emergency rules could be invoked to replace them.

Norwich beginning to show a little bit of form. I'd fancy them against the barcodes right now.

You seen Norwich this season?

Re: Saturday football
They are going to have a surprise in January.
Noone of top quality will be available , its usually players who arent playing that clubs want to shift.
Or mercenaries looking to get £150k a week for 5 years
Expect Jack Wilshere & Samir Nasri in stripes.
While Joelinton refuses to leave.

Re: Saturday football
Shelvey played for England a few times.

Then again so did Tom Huddleston and Carlton Palmer amongst many other head scratching selections.

Voldemort off to the Championship or lower very soon methinks.

Will the Newcastle players have to fast through 'ramadan(?).

Re: Saturday football
Shelvey is a one-in-three player, and I'm bloody glad he has been nowhere near us, despite having seen it being claimed he's a Hammer.
